How to Select a VFD for Your Application
Correct VFD selection should be based on the motor nameplate and actual machine duty. Important information includes motor kW or HP, rated current, voltage, required speed range, starting condition, torque requirement, operating duty, control method and installation environment.
For demanding applications such as crushers, mixers, conveyors, centrifuges or loaded-start equipment, the required overload and torque capability should also be reviewed.
